Hello everyone!

The Alpha Zeta Chapter of Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS) is starting a new
certificate program, called the *Professional Involvement Certificate
Program*. Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Honor Society’s mission is to support
pharmacy leadership by recognizing leaders and fostering leadership
development. The goal of this program is to encourage professional
involvement by recognizing student pharmacists who are focused on a variety
of activities and opportunities that support leadership development.

This program will be completed using the honor system. Use the attached
document to fill out event/task information and obtain a signature from the
person leading the event/task. If the event/task is independent, then no
signature is required, but must be documented on the form. Lastly, complete
a ~250 word reflection upon completion of the program. This reflection
should be focused on the importance of the variety of characteristics and
experiences necessary for successful leadership and how that relates to the
program.

*Leadership Development Certificate Event*
PLS, in conjunction with other organizations, hosts speaker events that
teach us how to be a leader in our profession and/or educates us in
different areas of pharmacy. In order *to obtain the Leadership
Certificate*, you must attend and sign in to three of these events
throughout your time on campus. Remember that in order to get the
Leadership Certificate you are required to attend three of the designated
speaker events, and you must attend during at least two different years of
pharmacy school. That means if you attended all three events as a P2 you
would not qualify, you must attend during different program years.

*We will have our next Leadership Certificate Program speaker coming in on
Monday, February 7th @ 4pm. *Ms. Melissa Bailey will be speaking on
her profession as a doula that specializes in "queer and colorful" families.
This is a joint meeting with Dedication to Representation, PRIDE in
Healthcare, and Kappa Epsilon Professional Pharmacy Fraternity. All are
welcome to attend!
