The NC AHEC Scholars Program online application is now open! The NC AHEC Scholars Program at SR-AHEC recruits, trains, and supports a diverse group of college students, creating a multidisciplinary team of future health professionals. This 2-year program brings together a diverse group of health professions students who are committed to community service and the transformation of health care in North Carolina. AHEC Scholars meet both virtually and in person through a variety of learning methods. Follow the links below for more details.

As an NC AHEC Scholar, you’ll:
• Supplement and enrich your education
• Receive a $1000/year subsidy
• Participate in 40 hours of didactic and 40 hours of clinical work each year (Virtual clinical options available)
• Have the opportunity to network with fellow students and health care professionals
• Gain access to unique experiences to help you thrive in health care
• Receive an NC AHEC Scholars Certificate, which sets you apart from other students in an increasingly competitive environment

Make connections with other health profession students, meet industry leaders, and continue developing the skills you need to make a difference in health care as you begin your career. This 2-year program brings together a diverse group of health professions students who are committed to community service and the transformation of health care in North Carolina. AHEC Scholars meet both virtually and in person through a variety of learning methods.
