I want to introduce you to our PGY1 pharmacy residency at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, a 267-bed acute care, academic, level 1 teaching hospital in Sayre, PA, on the border of New York and Pennsylvania. We are close to the Finger Lakes of New York and the Endless Mountain region of Pennsylvania.

The Guthrie Clinic serves 29 communities spanning 11,000 square miles with 77 regional offices, 6 hospitals.

It is a physician-led non-profit organization where our core values are patient-centeredness, teamwork and excellence.

Robert Packer Hospital has over 150 post-graduate learners in 12 physician and pharmacy residencies and fellowships.

Our PGY1 pharmacy residency is fully accredited, offers a flexible, friendly, interdisciplinary program that balances a rigorous program with a focus on well-being.

We offer residents a teaching certificate and a microcredential in clinical research.

Residents would be able to get a strong background in many areas, including: critical care, infectious diseases, internal medicine, cardiology, hematology-oncology, pain management, psychiatry, primary/ambulatory care, among others.

Other key things to know: paid healthcare, relocation support, educational fund, and meal vouchers are allocated to offset costs to residents; We pay for resident to attend one national meeting

Guthrie may support J-1 and H-1B visas, (but reserves the right to withdraw or limit sponsorship if costs associated with sponsorship are, or become, prohibitive.)
