All,

As discussed during class this week, we are in the process of selecting new leadership for the upcoming year for the CUCCC. Please read this email in its entirety if you are interested in applying for a position.

We have four leadership positions available. Included below is a small summary of the position as discussed in class and the current person in that leadership role so you can reach out to them if you would like more information.

  * Clinic Co-Director: works in the Health Center Pharmacy with me or the other pharmacist volunteer filling scrips and counseling patients; responsible for: learning the computer system to enter all scripts during the clinic, inventory management, answering student questions about formulary, scheduling student volunteers; communicates with the Floor Director and providers throughout clinic
     * One current P1 student is needed for this position
  * Floor Director: connection between First Choice and the Health Center; works on the clinic floor reviewing all scripts before the students bring them to the pharmacy, aiding with formulary selections, triaging questions
     * One current P1 student is needed for this position
  * Patient assistance program manager: responsible for ensuring applications for Patient Assistance Programs are complete and maintaining communication with the drug companies to complete the applications and manage refills. Note that duties for this position DO NOT need to be fulfilled on Tuesday nights and can be completed as your schedule allows.
     * One current P2 student is needed for this position
  * Mobile clinic liaison: responsible for triaging between the Mobile Clinic (for farmworkers) and the on-campus pharmacy. We currently have MC on Monday nights in Harnett (April through October) and Duplin on Wednesdays April through October and Mondays the rest of the year. **Spanish speaking students preferred for this position**
     * One student, either year, is needed for this position.

Training for the position will be throughout the month of April, and you will begin your role in May. It is preferable if you can be in Buies Creek on Tuesday evenings (or in a schedule amenable to your partner) over the summer to learn the position in its entirety.

If you are interested in applying for a position, please send an email to myself and the current Floor & Co-Directors (cc'ed on this email, contact information below if needed) containing the following information:

  * The position(s) you are interested in holding, and your order of preference
  * Whether or not you have experience volunteering at FC/MC this year
  * Your availability over the summer
  * A short paragraph answering the following question: In what ways do you think your participation as a pharmacy student leader will help the Community Care Clinic grow and better accomplish its purpose? How do you think the interprofessional nature of the clinic impacts the care provided to our patients?

Please submit your responses by Wednesday, March 30 at 5pm. Training will begin Tuesday, April 5. As mentioned, feel free to reach out to any of the current leaders or myself if you have any additional questions.
