[Phar25] Student Ambassador Applications

Good morning P1 & P2 students!

Below you will find the link to apply to become a student ambassador for the next academic year (2022-2023). This application closes on April 10th at 11:59pm. Student Ambassador application:  https://cuweb.wufoo.com/forms/s1f3mvqe1029i8a/   Current student ambassadors do not need to fill out the application, Josh (copied) is going to let me know who is interested in continuing. Kim Dunn will send the SA President application out to current ambassadors.

PharmD Student Ambassador Duties (not an exhaustive list)
Ambassadors are required to fill out an application, be accepted into the program, maintain a cumulative graduate-level GPA of 3.0 or higher (checked after fall and spring semesters), and abide by the Student Ambassador Handbook.

  1.  Participate in Open House activities (Fall and Spring)
  2.  Building and Main Campus Tours
  3.  Be open and available to attend recruitment events and talk with prospective students at clubs and organization meetings
     *   Student Ambassadors are only required to attend events that do not conflict with class schedules
  4.  Make phone calls/emails to accepted students to discuss pharmacy school, offer advice on how to prepare for school, and answer any questions they may have under the direction of the Admissions Coordinators, conduct on-campus visits/tours
  5.  Participate in an online student blog: http://eatsleeppharm.wordpress.com/
     *   Submit bios every year
     *   Share information on "A day in the life of a Student Pharmacist" with emphasis on certain subjects
  6.  Host PharmDays - students come to campus for a day to experience what it is like to be a pharmacy student. They attend class with a Student Ambassador, have lunch with PharmD students and admissions staff, and have the opportunity to meet professors during class. PharmDays are scheduled for two to three days a month.
     *   Student receives folder of information about all of the CPHS programs
     *   Participate in P1, P2 and P3 classes on the same day when possible
  7.  Participate in PharmD interview days student panel and tours (if needed)
  8.  Help with the following events: Orientation, PharmDays, Homecoming, Alumni Golf Classic, Accepted Student Days, virtual fairs, and other pop-up events as needed
  9.  Assist with recruitment at UG feeder schools as available
