Hello CUPA Alumni,

Want to improve PA practice in North Carolina while supporting a fellow CUPA alumnus?

Here’s your chance! I invite you to participate in a focus group study exploring the unique dynamics of PA-physician teams in North Carolina. Whether you’ve had positive or challenging experiences, your insights are essential to understanding the factors that impact collaborative care in our state. We also invite you to share this email with other North Carolina physicians and PAs who are passionate about collaborative healthcare and have experience working in a PA-Physician team.

What Participation Involves
If you agree to join this study, you will participate in a one-time 60-minute virtual focus group via Zoom, discussing your experiences working in a PA-physician team. To ensure confidentiality, PAs and physicians will have separate sessions. A non-clinician moderator with qualitative research experience will facilitate open discussion.

Eligibility
We are seeking licensed PAs and physicians who:
• Are currently licensed and practicing in North Carolina for at least the past 12 months,
• Have at least 12 months of experience working in a PA-physician team with the same PA or physician, and
• Work at least 3 days per week in an ambulatory care or outpatient setting
• Are willing to participate in a 60-minute virtual focus group.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to share your valuable insights on PA-physician collaboration. Your participation could make a meaningful impact on advancing effective teamwork in healthcare settings across North Carolina!

Sincerely,
Ashley Nordan,
