Hello Class of 2024!

A few helpful pieces of information/reminders for your clinical case poster:

  1.  Monday, February 5: 1st draft of Abstract due to faculty mentor for editing (250 words or less!)
     *   PLEASE put your best effort forward before submitting to faculty mentor
     *   As soon as abstract is deemed acceptable/complete by the student/mentor team, please begin turning the abstract into the poster!
  2.  Monday, February 19: FINAL abstract due to Mrs. Stevens via email by ONE member of the team
     *   ONE member of your team must submit your final approved abstract to the research symposium registration website (link is in BLUE below) - please make sure to include all members of your team in the registration, including your faculty mentor.  Notes on submission form:

                                                               i.      Category of research:  clinical case study

                                                             ii.      Has this research project been IRB approved:  select N/A

                                                           iii.      Would you like to be evaluated for awards - choose NO

  1.  Monday, March 4: 1st draft of poster due to faculty mentor for editing
  2.  FRIDAY, March 15:  FINAL Poster due to Mrs. Stevens via email as PP slide or PDF
  3.  Further information will be forthcoming about printing your poster....

Dear All,

 The Interprofessional Education Health Sciences Research Symposium will be held in person on Wednesday, April 3rd beginning at 5:00 pm at the Oscar N Harris Student Union Ballrooms on main campus.

Poster presentations will take place beginning at 5:00 pm. Judging for awards will take place from 5:00 pm-6:15 pm. All students, faculty and residents are encouraged to attend this interprofessional education event.



The poster session is open to faculty, residents, and students to present their research.  Students who have already presented posters at the Wiggins Memorial Library Academic Symposium are encouraged to present their research again. This is a great networking opportunity to meet with faculty, residents, and students from other programs, and, to encourage collaboration across programs in research and scholarly activity.



Best poster awards in each category of research will be awarded to student and resident posters. For those presenters who would like to be considered for an award, an electronic version of their poster is due by March 18th  for evaluation. The registration deadline for posters not being considered for awards is also March 18th.  Upon registering for the IPE Health Sciences Research Symposium, registrants will be asked to select whether or not they wish to be evaluated for an award.
