[Cusom26] Clinical Chair of Psychiatry

We are excited to announce Ashraf Mikhail, MD as the Clinical Chair of Psychiatry!  Dr. Mikhail earned his medical degree from Alexandria University in Egypt.  He then completed a Psychiatry Residency at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in New York and a Post-Doctoral Residency Fellowship in Psychiatry through Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.  Dr. Mikhail then went on to complete another residency in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where he also completed a Chief Resident year.

Dr. Mikhail has had a successful clinical career as Medical Director of Coastal Carolina Neuropsychiatric Crisis Services as well as Director of the Child and Adolescent Unit in the Brynn Marr Behavioral Healthcare System - both in Jacksonville, NC - and Medical Director of Good Hope Hospital in Erwin, NC.  Dr. Mikhail has faithfully served as the clinical faculty preceptor for Psychiatry in Region 6 / Morehead City and has received multiple laurels and accolades for his work and leadership in that role.
