Subject: Re: National DO Day of Service
Hello CUSOM Club and Student Organization Leaders!
This year, AACOM’s Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents will be capping off National Osteopathic Medicine Week by hosting the FIRST annual National DO Day of Service on Saturday, April 22nd.
What does this mean for you?
In order to enable the thousands of DO students, COM staff, faculty, and practicing DOs across the nation to accomplish thousands of hours of community service in one day, we need YOU! All COM-affiliated clubs and student organizations are invited to host 1 or more service events on Saturday, April 22nd as participating organizations in National DO Day of Service.
How will this work?
1. Clubs opt in or out
2. Participating clubs submit the details of their event (time, location, service being performed, and # of available slots) to their TOUCH Coordinator by March 15th
3. Participants sign-up for the event of their choice via TrackitForward
4. We all serve!
In case the motivation to serve our community isn’t incentive enough, there are also awards for participating clubs!
1. Excellence in Service Award
* Awarded to the Club/Org that offers the greatest # of volunteer spots
1. Innovation in Service Award
* Awarded to the Club/Org with the most innovative event
1. Commitment to Service Recognition
* Awarded to all participating student clubs/orgs
For more information, see the attached powerpoint and feel free to reach out with any questions you may have!
Please respond to this email with the name of the club you are representing along with your choice of Opting IN vs. OUT by 2/17/2023.
Best,
Alex Caudill
