[Law24] Phase 2 Bidding Opens TODAY!

Good morning,

I hope you have all had a good weekend!
As you know, bidding for Phase 2 of OCIs opens today and remains open until Friday at noon. Attached is a list of participating employers, but if there is ever a discrepancy Symplicity will be the source for the most current information for employers participating in each phase.

Also, just a reminder about the importance of details in your application materials, whether for OCIs or your independent job search. We want you all to be successful and have the best chance of getting interviews for positions you want. In most cases, there are students from multiple law schools applying for the same positions with each employer, and data suggests you get 6 seconds or less for an employer to form an opinion about your materials. You want to control every variable you can to maximize those 6 seconds and make a great impression. Employers routinely give feedback on what they want to see in application materials, and these 4 tips reflect best practices:

  1.  Correct business letter format for cover letters with an inside address
  2.  Cover letters that indicate you have done your research on the employer and convey interest in/qualification for the specific job for which you are applying (as opposed to a generic letter that could be used for any employer)
  3.  Correctly formatted and thoughtfully edited legal resume
  4.  Error free materials
