[Pt2027] White Coat Information

Your white coats have arrived!!!!! 😊


Tomorrow at 10am, immediately following your exam, we will distribute them to you in the 1st floor lobby. This should only take a few minutes.


Attached you will find the official invitation to the White Coat Ceremony, stage layout for students as well as the White Coat Ceremony Guest Information document. Please review attached files carefully and share guest information with your family and friends.
No tickets are required for the event. For those unable to attend in person, the invitation includes a live stream link.

Student Timeline & Instructions:
• 1:00 PM – Arrive at McCall Court, entering through the double doors at the back of the Convocation Center.
• You will receive a name card upon arrival.

  *   Note: If your card is orange, you will begin a new row in the arena.
• Marshals will escort you into Gore Arena and direct you to your seat.
• When it’s time to proceed to the stage, marshals will give you a cue.
On Stage Process:

  1.  At the first podium, hand your name card to Dr. Moore and stand on the camel image.
  2.  Walk to the second camel to be coated. (You will be coated by Dr. Michelle Green)
  3.  Proceed to the third camel to shake hands with Dean Mercer.
  4.  Stop at the final podium to sign the student oath book.
     *   If you are the last student in your class, please move the book to the lower shelf.
     *   Leave all pens on the podium.
  5.  Return to your seat as directed.
End of Ceremony:
• Faculty and the platform party will exit first.
• Marshals will then cue you to exit through the back of the Convocation Center.

  *   Note: You will not return to McCall Court. Do not leave personal items there as the volleyball team will be practicing afterward.

Dress Code:

• Wear professional attire (no suit jackets needed under the white coat).
• Ensure dresses/skirts are of appropriate length – the stage is elevated.
• Shoes should be comfortable and professional with secure footing — avoid excessively high heels due to stage steps.
• Your white coat must be wrinkle-free for the ceremony.

Post-Ceremony:

Feel free to tour Maddox Hall and Smith Hall with your family and friends following the ceremony.
