[pt2025] Ideas for Admin Course

I coordinate the Admin course in the spring. We have had some prior speakers step away due to change sin their jobs or they have moved out of the area. I therefore have some room to accommodate your wants, needs, expectations.

I would really appreciate any thoughts or ideas you have.
The course typically has topic areas including:
1.Settings: speakers from different types. ANY YOU WANT?
2.Preparedness for Employment: interview skills, resume writing, social media and networking (creating your online presence) and understanding the employment package beyond the salary.
3.Business and marketing:
4.The health care system in America: short lecture on types of insurances and ACA, history of reimbursement
5.Billing and coding
6.Owning your own business
7.Leadership vs. management
8.Deciding on your future
9.Fraud, waste and abuse

Any thought son specific topics within those large topics above?

I would like to bring in a financial planner- is that something you'd find useful?

Any thoughts on needs for conflict resolution, having difficult conversations, Coaching skills for development, giving and receiving feedback?


Ok. I would really appreciate it if you provide your thoughts. There is no right or wrong. I just want to hear your ideas and needs. I won't share this with others, so go ahead and talk about what you feel you need in these areas as we head to the (OMG!) end of the curriculum.
