Hi Everyone!

Cultural appropriation is the unacknowledged or inappropriate adoption of
customs, practices, ideas, etc, of a group of people or culture by members
of another, and typically more dominant, people or culture. Common examples
include style choices, musical trends, and language use. Cultural
appreciation is a way of honoring another culture through exploration and
acknowledging its significance without claiming it as part of our own. This
is a hot topic in October as we decide how to dress up for Halloween. Check
out the resource for guidance on culturally appropriate costumes and how to
appreciate different cultures in our style choices without appropriating.
