Happy Easter!
I hope you do not see this today and you are enjoying family time.
I have about 12 assignments left to grade, but can not get into Blackboard, have not been able to since Thursday evening.
The assignments have been very well done. For those of you who want the information to move forward with the rest of the assignment, I would say you are on the right path and move forward the most common thing I have seen that needs to be improved (part of the process!) is being more specific with the impairments. I want you to think about each one should stand alone as the target for an intervention. So, if you say 'LE weakness" - how will that specifically and intentionally be targeted? Be specific! Which muscles or muscle groups (flex, ext, abduction, adduction- does not have to be the muscle itself!). If it is all, then simply say all LE muscles. Don't forget, if it is relevant to the case, type 1 or type 2 fibers, or strength, power, endurance. If you say joint swelling, identify which joint, etc. Be specific. The Activity limitations, Participation Roles and cases have been good! When doing the interventions, be sure you do not ADD an impairment that you did not list in the impairment section. Insurance companies love to deny payment for documentation that states the intervention was to address "LE muscular endurance, cardiovascular activity intolerance and pain" and in your initial examination, you did not mention cardiovascular endurance limitation. If it is not part of the problem list, they will not pay you to treat it.

Be sure to look at the Rubric for the presentation. The intent is not a double whammy- the presentation is more about the synthesis across groups and how you discuss the differences at the levels of the ICF model using the materials from the lectures on the specific age groups. You will not get points deducted again for the small stuff that was in this assignment.

I will continue to try to get into Blackboard. My apologies. But, the assignments have been well done and you should have the confidence to move forward with the final assignment.
