All,

I wanted to make sure you had gotten into the "Doctor of Physical Therapy" organization on BB. If you did not, this is located on the left hand side once in BB. Once in, click on "content" you will find your 2024 folder. Then the Medical Terminology information.
The below is in the main folder:

Throughout the DPT program courses, you will encounter medical words and abbreviations that may be new to you. In order to improve your success, all students must complete a self-directed medical terminology unit and complete an exam. The course content folder titled "Medical Terminology" contains a power point reviewing medical term structure and resources on common medical terms.
You can access the free text for the unit through the CPHS library. It uses a systems approach which will tie in well with early foundational science courses. The Quinn text used in DPT 722 contains a unit on medical terminology which can be used for test preparation. An excellent additional resource is found at http://physicaltherapy.about.com/od/abbreviationsandterms/a/PTabbreviations.htm.
An exam on medical terminology will be administered through ExamSoft. The due date for completion is February 21,2022. Course code to launch the exam in Examsoft is "2022Medicalterm1". You must score at least 80% and have 3 attempts allowed. The exam is completed in an asynchronous manner, and you may use resources during testing. However, you are expected to follow the and honor code and complete the test independently.
