[Pt2024] Campbell DPT Covid-19 Update

Good morning DPT Class of 2024

I am sending this brief email with an update on the Covid-19 mitigation efforts on campus. University administration has made the decision to start the spring semester with remote learning due to the surge in Covid-19 cases (https://www.campbell.edu/coronavirus/). The current schedule is for classes to begin on January 10 remotely with a return to in-person instruction on January 20th. The department faculty is meeting with College and University leadership today to determine the parameters for this period and then developing a plan for the beginning of the semester.

This DPT Orientation scheduled for Friday, January 7th is also impacted. We will be adjusting the schedule for Friday to maintain compliance with this new guidance from the University.  Currently we are planning on having scheduled times for you to arrive on campus on Friday to receive your computers and necessary instructions for setting them up in preparation for the start of the semester. Also, expect to participate in a smaller virtual orientation on Friday as well.   I will send a follow-up email to describe the alterations in schedule and delivery method once they have been identified - hopefully by Thursday afternoon.

The faculty and staff know this is not the way you wanted to start your DPT journey, but rest assured we are working to make the best of this situation.
