The semester continues to march along with the 7th week now complete. Several notable things happened this week - I'd like to call out a few. With the return of our DPT2 class, all three cohorts are now on campus. It has been great to hear the stories of success and growth from their first full-time clinical experience. The faculty encourage you all to share your experiences with your colleagues both within and between cohorts. Wednesday the 23rd marked the return of the DPT Pro-Bono Clinic. The student run clinic was forced to shut down almost two years ago due to Covid-19. The DPT3 Pro-Bono Board has worked very hard to modernize the processes and procedures of the clinic allowing for this reopening.

Unfortunately, this week also brought some bittersweet news. Dr. Shearin announced her upcoming retirement. It is important for all of us to acknowledge her incredible contribution to everything Campbell DPT. She was involved in the program from the very beginning and impacted more than just the clinical education portion of the program. Campbell DPT would not be anything like it is today without her tireless efforts along the way. Please take a moment over the next several weeks to share your appreciation for Dr. Shearin and her service to our program, our patients, and the future of PT - you!

You should have received an email announcement from the university detailing the relaxing of the mask guidance on campus. As of Friday, the 26th at 5pm masks are now optional for wear on campus. Those wishing to continue mask wear are encouraged to do so. We do ask that you remain aware of your potential for exposure to Covid-19 during on and off campus activities and not attend class if you have any signs or symptoms that may be from Covid. Please refer to the campus guidelines for how to proceed if signs or symptoms to arise.

Have a great weekend and another successful week ahead.
