Hi, Class of 2024!

I hope this email finds you doing well, and I hope you enjoyed the summer break! It was wonderful seeing you all (virtually) during the White Coat Ceremony on Friday. I beamed with pride for each of you as you reached a major milestone in your PT journey.

As the incoming DPT students begin their transition to begin the program in January 2023 (Class of 2025), each incoming student will be paired with two upper-classmen - one rising DPT2 and one rising DPT3. To assist with pairing mentors and mentees, please complete and submit this form<https://cuweb.wufoo.com/forms/dpt-student-mentor-for-rising-dpt2-dpt3-202223/> no later than August 22, 2022.

The incoming students have submitted a similar inquiry form and once I receive all of your forms by the August 22nd deadline, I will email the incoming student introducing their (rising) DPT2 and DPT3 mentors. You will be copied to the introductory email to ensure you have the incoming student's contact information. Once you have been connected with your incoming student, please reach out to welcome them to the program. Your mentee may ask questions about the program, what to expect, how to prepare, study strategies, etc. Through this role as a mentor, you play such an integral part of the transition process and I know first-hand how much the incoming students appreciate your time, knowledge, and encouragement.

This is an extremely important effort, and many incoming students are excited to hear from their mentor. Thank you, in advance, for your commitment and willingness to serve as a mentor. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Kindest Regards,

Shari McGuire, M.Ed.
