Good morning all,

Welcome to a new year!

As we all take our next steps in our pharmacy careers, I wanted to take a
moment to acknowledge the incredible dedication to have come this far. For
the P2s, P3s, and P4s, you may have faced challenges in the past year, but
this is a new beginning to show what you are made of. For the P1s, you may
feel nervous to begin this new journey but I promise you are in the right
place because of your hard work.

The start of a new year is always a time of reflection and renewal. It’s an
opportunity to set goals, embrace new challenges, and recommit yourself to
making a difference in healthcare.

Here are a few tips to inspire and guide you as you embark on this new
chapter:

*1. Set Ambitious but Small Goals*: Think about where you want to be by the
end of the semester. Try not to overwhelm yourself with the big end goal
but rather take small steps toward small achievements.

*2. Embrace Challenges*: Recognize challenges as a form of personal and
professional development. Don’t be discouraged; use those challenges as
stepping stones to greater success.

*3. Stay Curious and Keep Learning*: Keep an open mind to the fields of
pharmacy. Do not close yourself off to opportunities that are around you.

*4. Support Each Other*: You’re not alone on this journey. Lean on your
peers, mentors, and faculty for support and guidance. Collaborate, share
insights, and celebrate each other’s successes.

*5. Take Care of Yourself*: Make time for self-care, relaxation, and
activities that recharge you.

Psalms 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel
you with my loving eye on you.

Good luck to the P1 class for your White Coat ceremony! As the coat is
placed upon you, remind yourself of how far you have come and how far you
will go.

Good luck everyone in your first week!

Best wishes,

*Ashley Woodburn *
