[Pa25] PA Long White Coat Ceremony Invitation and Information

Good Morning,

As we are now well underway with plans and preparations for your upcoming long white coat ceremony and graduation, I wanted to share the following information with you so you can have everything in one place. If you think of anything else that you may have questions about or something I've missed, please let me know and I will be happy to help however I can.



  *   Ceremony Information -
     *   Friday, July 18th @ 2:00pm in the Hobson Performance Center, located inside of D. Rich Hall on main campus.
     *   We will have a full ceremony walk through after the awards event on June 27
     *   Coats are expected to arrive mid-June and we hope to distribute them to you on June 27
  *   Arrival & Parking -
     *   Please see attached invitation and campus map for parking locations
     *   For all students and guests, parking is available in the Fine Arts parking lot, behind the health center, and overflow at the Convocation Center
     *   We will be running golf carts from the parking lot to D. Rich for those who need assistance.
  *   Reminders for the day of the event -
     *   PLEASE DO NOT FORGET YOUR WHITE COAT- you may want to plan to have these steamed and pressed leading up to the event
     *   Doors open for guests at 12:30pm
     *   Please review the attached PowerPoint that is an overview of the ceremony and the layout
  *   Live streaming -

     *   Live streaming will also be offered in a separate room inside D. Rich Hall for guests who have smaller children and may need that space
  *   Dress code -
     *   Business professional (no suit jackets)
     *   Please be cautious of dress/skirt length, as well as your shoes, as you will be walking across the stage and going up/down stairs
  *   Student line-up -
     *   You and your coater will need to arrive to D. Rich, by 1:00pm.
        *   You will be split up by alphabet: A-K in 116 and L-Z in 119
        *   Please enter at the back of D. Rich
  *   Class Photo -
     *   As soon as you exit the building at the conclusion of the ceremony, you will immediately walk straight to the steps of Taylor Hall.
     *   PLEASE NOTE: If there is rain on the day of the ceremony, you will be required to take the class photo at 12:30pm inside the performance center on the stage PRIOR to the start of the ceremony.
        *   This will delay the opening of the doors for guests AND requires you to arrive a bit sooner
        *   We will try to have this confirmed (if applicable) by Thursday, July 17, but please proactively inform your family and plan accordingly
