Dear Class of 2025,
We have received some inquiries regarding the PA Education Association (PAEA) Pi Alpha Honor Society, so I wanted to give some clarification.
The Pi Alpha Honor Society is the national honor society for physician assistants (PAs), established to recognize and promote significant academic achievement, leadership, research, community/professional service, and the encouragement of a high standard of character and conduct among both PA students and graduates. Pi Alpha may only be granted to 15% of each graduating class, so for a class of 54 students, 8 will receive this honor.
Campbell has always given the Pi Alpha honor to the 8 students in the graduating class who have the highest GPA through the end of the clinical year spring semester (Pi Alpha rosters must be submitted to PAEA 30 days prior to graduation), taking into account community service, professionalism, & leadership in the instance of multiple students with the same GPA.
Pi Alpha recipients will be announced at the Long White Coat Ceremony along with all other program awards. Please reach out to me directly if you have any other questions.
