Student Volunteer Opportunities

Student members are eligible for both opportunities, so remember to share with your classmates.

  *   Student Board Committees<https://fs1.formsite.com/aapa/form599/index>: Read more about each committee below and on the application. The deadline to apply on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

     *   Advocacy & Policy Committee: Provide feedback on HOD student delegate resolution drafts and proposed policy changes, Join and promote the Grassroots Advocacy & Information Network (GAIN).
     *   Communication & Outreach Committee: Assist with content creation and promotion for the Director of Student Communication’s Instagram; Create and share graphics to promote leadership opportunities and AAPA events.
     *   Leadership & Diversity Committee: Promote student leadership and diversity initiatives, recruiting students for opportunities; Develop a guide for diversity chairs in student societies.
     *   Service Committee: Participate in Project Access by delivering community presentations; Promote community service and recruit volunteers for Conference events.

  *   Student Focus Group<https://fs1.formsite.com/aapa/eo84h17afo/index>: AAPA is seeking student member volunteers to provide feedback on content and programs for students and pre-PAs. The deadline to apply is Friday, November 29.



HOD Student Delegation: The HOD Student Delegate page<https://www.aapa.org/governance/student-academy/house-of-delegates-student-delegation/hod-student-delegates/> is now live with photos and bios. These student members applied for this role in May/June and were elected by the Student Board of Directors last month. The student delegation represents the PA student voice in AAPA’s House of Delegates<https://www.aapa.org/governance/house-of-delegates/>, and is the largest delegation in the HOD.



PAs for Women Empowerment Message (Attached): Please see the attached message from the PAs for Women Empowerment Student Director, Sabrina Denton. PAs for Women Empowerment is an AAPA constituent organization (CO).
