Students,

A quick note to express my appreciation for everyone’s efforts yesterday.

It seemed to me that all participants in the Super SIM had a good “buy in” in the cases.  Needless to say, the whole thing would have not been possible without Ms Gerstner’s help or without Dr Kesic’s incisive de-briefing.

I am also grateful for your diligence in learning the phrases for the medical Spanish OSCE.  I am eternally grateful for Yessuni, Julissa and Janie for stepping in and helping the team in serving as SP’s (well done, Chicas!🙂)

Later, I will ask Dr Ortiz (the very nice lady with an MI in 14) who is the Chair of Campbell’s Spanish Dept for her thoughts as well. I always try to incorporate her valuable input in future course offerings.

Lastly, in an effort to assuage your fears about rotating in the EM, I have attached an awesome manual, “The ABC’s for Emergency Medicine”- for your reference. It is bullet formatted which I like, quick and clear.  The airway trifold (yes, I love trifolds too) is a great check list to view as you prepare to intubate.
