Hi everyone!

In collaboration with CPHS and CUSOM, Campbell University's PharmD program
is putting on a Community Health Fair with the Episcopal Farmworker
Ministry in Dunn, NC. The Health Fair is set for *Saturday, March 18th,
from 10am to 2pm* at the Ministry grounds located at* 2989 Easy Street,
Dunn*. I am seeking motivated, driven students across our CPHS programs
who are eager to volunteer.

Last year's turnout was over 200 patients, and was the first year following
COVID that Campbell was able to provide assistance. This is a great way to
earn community service hours as well as an impressive addition to your CV!

Volunteer positions for each table are *limited*, and positions will be
distributed based on a *first-come, first-serve basis!* Please fill out
this form
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScYOGvLUNAt5l2AQKlVNJbmIgoHufhzsDFYd_AYCzoCPrDHkA/viewform?usp=sf_link>
if you are interested in volunteering or helping with this event.

Description of tables: A licensed pharmacist and translator will be
available if needed.

   - *Pharmacy Medication Management*: look over a patient's prescribed
medication list and counsel to ensure patient compliance. Confirm the
patient is taking each medication correctly and advise on potential side
   effects.
   - *Blood Pressure Monitoring and Counseling*: volunteer to bring your
own stethoscope to monitor and record patients' blood pressure. Provide
informational flyers on hypertension and counsel based on the patients'
   blood pressure.
   - *Blood Glucose Testing and Diabetes Counseling:* assist patients in
blood glucose testing using testing strips and a glucometer (provided) and
record. Provide informational flyers on diabetes and counsel based on
   patients' blood glucose.
   - *Lipid Panel Testing and Cholesterol Counseling*: assist patients in
lipid panel testing (supplies provided) and record. Provide informational
flyers and counsel patients on cholesterol.
   - *Healthy Lifestyle Changes*: Provide information and counsel patients
on lifestyle changes that are specific to farmworkers.
   - *OTC Literacy*: Assist patients' understanding of over-the-counter
   medications.
   - *Women's Health:* Provide informational flyers and resources to
   promote women's health.

Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas! If you
would like your organization to be represented at the fair, please contact
me as soon as possible.

Thank you all in advance for your valuable help to make this event
impactful and successful.

Best,
