[Pa23] ortho checklists tomorrow

Gerstner, Laura R. reedl at campbell.edu
Wed May 4 17:51:02 EDT 2022

All:

  * Please meet outside of the Smith Hall OSCE Suite 5 minutes prior to your start time.
  * Bring your white coat and your reflex hammer (in case it is needed for your case).
  * Each group of 3 students will enter their assigned OSCE room when told to do so. You will go in the order of your names on the schedule (example: 9:30am group, room 13 will be Avalos, then Avery, then Bartolac) - each student should know the order of their roles (example: Avalos is the PA 1st, then the evaluator 2nd, and then the patient last)
     * PA Provider - ready with white coat on
     * Patient - sitting on the exam table
     * Evaluator - will step into the hallway to receive the rubric from a faculty member, then return to their OSCE, tear the patient history paper off the back of the rubric and hand it to their "PA provider" to read
  * Ms. Shelly will announce for the student to begin. She will give a 2-minute warning (after 8 minutes) and then announce when that student should stop and roles will be changed. The next evaluator will step out of the room to get the next rubric and the process will continue again...
  * After all 3 students have gone, you will hand your completed rubrics to the faculty member in the hallway and exit the OSCE suite.
  * Please remember the honor code and do not share case information with later groups!

Best of luck - I know you all will do great!
Mrs. G
