Join Equal Justice Works virtually for an interactive training highlighting the importance of housing stability legal work!
This course seeks to raise awareness of housing stability legal work—with a particular focus on eviction prevention and defense—and inspire students to engage in this work while in law school and beyond.
During this two-hour course, law students will explore what it means to do eviction defense and housing stabilization work both inside and outside the courtroom. Law students will gain valuable tools and resources they can use to represent tenants that are behind on rent and/or facing eviction in court. This course will also explore how lawyers strengthen community resilience by conducting outreach and education and inspiring greater systemic change. Come learn what housing lawyers do, and how you can pursue a career in housing justice after graduation!
