Good afternoon and happy Friday!

We are delighted to share that we have a new team member in the Career and Professional Development office. Christiana Johnson joined us this week as the inaugural Director of Student Engagement and Career Success. In her new role, she will counsel students and alumni, assist with career and development programs and resource development, and lead our office's public service programs and employer outreach. Christiana comes to us from Legal Aid, where she served most recently as a managing attorney in Boone. Prior to working with Legal Aid, she clerked for the Honorable Thomas D. Waterman on the Iowa Supreme Court. She earned her JD from Liberty University School of Law, where she graduated first in her class and was Editor in Chief of the Law Review. Christiana is enthusiastic about mentoring law students, having spent time with them at law schools across North Carolina while serving as a panelist on topics related to needs and opportunities in legal deserts, and while hiring and supervising interns at Legal Aid.
