As we leave for Ghana on Saturday I thought you would enjoy this description of our program by the Ghanaian Dean working with us.  I have managed to make it collaborative this year, with lectures by their faculty and involvement of their students.  We have also been invited to a session at the American Embassy, as well as a meeting with their Chief Justice. It should be quite the adventure.

Dear All,
Pursuant to an MOU in dated 2019 between UCC LAW and Campbell Law School of North Carolina USA on teaching and research collaboration, this is to formally inform colleagues that Faculty will be receiving 15 students and 6 Faculty for a study abroad programme from Campbell Law School from Sunday 21st May to Saturday 10th June 2023.

The programme will involved lectures to the students to be delivered by some members of Faculty and cognate Faculties on various topics ranging from, Ghana and the Slave Trade, Ghana Legal Systems, Political History of Ghana, Chieftaincy, Access to Justice in Ghana and Ghana and the African Union at the Coconut Grove Hotel Accra and the Academic Board Chamber, UCC  between 25th May to 7th June 2023. Attached is the Lecture Time Table.

Other itinerary of the Students and Faculty will include visits to the High Courts of Ghana, Supreme Court, Parliament House and the Dubois Centre all in Accra
 on 22nd, 23rd and 24th May respectively, the Castles in Cape Coast, Elmina and Anomabo, Kakum National Park, on 25th to 1st June 2023, Manhyia Palace and Museum, Kumasi on 2nd to 4th June 2023 and return to Accra from 5th to 10th June when they will depart back to USA.
The
Six students from Levels 100 to 300 students from our Faculty in the persons of Dorcas Dodoo, Nana Kwesi Sarpong, Papa Kwesi Dekyi, Eunice Awenlie Anyawie, Esther Adjei and Eric Mawuko Atsiatorme, will join Campbell students on their visit to the Supreme Court and Parliament House on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th May 2023 respectively.
