Events & Activities

Diversity & Equity:
As you may know Campbell Law is working with Professor Russell McClain of the University of Maryland to look at issues of diversity and equity at the law school. As he wraps up this project, the most important thing he needs is to get additional feedback from students. He will be holding 90-minute meetings over the next two weeks. If you are willing, will you please consider joining other students in small groups to meet with Professor McClain to discuss your experiences at Campbell Law? You can sign up for the meetings using this google doc:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DPDyd5XReufFpOkptXWV5dKZ8Ul_Yi2QBxLx0DhpVK0/edit?usp=sharing.

DVAP Basket:
The Domestic Violence Advocacy Project is selling raffle tickets for $5.00 for a chance to win an "unwind for Spring Break" basket valued over $100! Basket includes everything you need to fully unwind after the first half of the semester and reset in advance of spring exams. Ticket sales begin now and will continue until end of day on the day on the eighth. Winner will be drawn on the March 9th. Purchase your ticket here: igfn.us/form/WVDyZQ<https://igfn.us/form/WVDyZQ>. Ticket sales end at 5:00pm on March 8th. All ticket sales will go directly to the Women's Center of Wake County: https://www.wcwc.org/ which provides a safe, low barrier, client-centered and trauma sensitive environment for women, where they can begin the stabilization and healing process.

2022 North Carolina Legal Feeding Frenzy:
Campbell Law School is once again competing in the 2022 North Carolina Legal Feeding Frenzy<https://nclegalfeedingfrenzy.com/> - a "food and fund" drive competition among all North Carolina law firms, law schools and organizations to assist Feeding The Carolinas' Food Banks that runs from March 1-31. In this friendly competition, the law school, firm or organization that raises the most food (based on a per person average - attorneys and staff) will be awarded the prestigious and highly coveted "Attorney General's Cup." Due to COVID-19, Food Banks had a 57% increase in clients served, and those numbers are still 20-30% above normal levels. Food Banks rely on donated product in order to serve the most people possible. Every dollar donated equals nine meals that can be provided through local N.C. food banks. Supporters can help the Campbell Law team's fight against hunger by donating here:
