Dear Campbell Law Family,

I write today to share news with you about my personal medical condition.  The news is not the type anyone expects but so many quietly endure.  A few weeks ago I fell while rushing down stairs to my son's track meet.  When I did, I ruptured a disc in my back.  It turns out that one fall would propel me to knowledge I was utterly unaware of at the time.  I could not be more grateful for that injury.  The MRI on my back has revealed a large tumor on my left kidney.  I have been assured that it is cancer.  It must be surgically removed.

At this point I still am awaiting details on how extensive the surgery will be and when it will occur.  My back issue must also be addressed and I have decided to go into surgery this Saturday.  If I am to fight cancer - and I will - then I would prefer to do it standing upright.  Your prayers are greatly appreciated during this time.  I am deeply worried for Angela and the boys so please include them.

Until I see you next, know that I am enormously grateful for your friendship.
