Judge Conrad at the NC Business Court in Charlotte is seeking a law clerk to begin August 2024. A summary is below. For more info see Symplicity #18898.



The Honorable Adam M. Conrad, Special Superior Court Judge for Complex Business Cases, seeks a full-time judicial law clerk to begin August 2024 in the Charlotte chambers of the North Carolina Business Court.  Responsibilities include conducting legal research; drafting memoranda, orders, and opinions; participating in courtroom and chambers proceedings; and assisting in case management.  The clerkship term will be 1 or 2 years.  Applications accepted from Spring 2024 graduating classes or earlier.  Applicants should have keen critical thinking skills, with an interest in business law and business litigation, exceptional writing skills, and strong law school academic performance.  Top 20% preferred but not required.



Judge Conrad will consider applications on a rolling basis and may conduct interviews before the application deadline.



The North Carolina Business Court is a specialized forum of the North Carolina Superior Court.  Cases involving complex and significant issues of corporate and commercial law are designated by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina for assignment to a Business Court Judge who oversees resolution of all matters in the case through trial.
