The Finnegan/Under Armour Law Student IP Diversity Summer Internship provides a unique opportunity for a law student to enrich their professional development by offering exposure to both law firm practice and a corporate in-house legal department.

12-week Internship Program Includes:

  1.  An hourly paid law clerk position.
  2.  First 8 weeks would be at Finnegan’s Washington D.C. office.
  3.  Second 4 weeks would be on-site at Under Armour.

Application Criteria:


  1.  Eligible 1L candidates who are enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school in the JD class of 2026.
  2.  Strong interest in pursuing a career in Trademark, Copyright, Advertising, and Brand Management.
  3.  Demonstrated commitment to enhancing diversity and the diversity of the legal profession.
  4.  Superior academic credentials and exceptional writing skills.

Students MUST submit a resume, unofficial undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) transcripts, and a one-page (max) statement on how you will contribute to the diverse legal practice at Finnegan and Under Armour and within the legal profession. Law school transcripts will be requested after the initial selection phase. Application submission deadline is November 10, 2023.
