[Law28] Important Career Related Events this Week

We hope you all had a restful fall break. It's hard to believe we are entering the second half of the semester!

Just a few quick but important reminders about 3 programs/events happening this week that you will want to attend.

First, the Career Center's program on Cover Letters is Tuesday at noon in room 105. Cover letters are a critical component of your job application, often serving as your first introduction to potential employers.  Join the Career Center for an informative session where you’ll gain insight into the purpose of cover letters, how to structure them effectively and how to tailor your letter to stand out to employers. Second, on Thursday, there will be an North Carolina Bar Association section panel on complex business disputes. The Business Law Association is sponsoring and will provide lunch for those who click HERE<https://cuweb.wufoo.com/forms/pmbu0gy174gfm6/> and register by 10:00 am on Wednesday. Come learn about the practice of complex business litigation from the practitioner’s perspective. Panelists include Preetha Rini at Robinson Bradshaw and Nate Pencook from Nelson Mullins. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to learn and network with attorneys at 2 large firms.

Finally, if you have not already registered for Career Night, we strongly encourage you to sign up now before we reach capacity. We currently have 190 students signed up and you do not want to miss this opportunity to network across industry with large, medium and small firms as well as public interest, government and in house employers.
