[Law28] Important Updates at the Career Center

Good morning!


We hope you had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to a restful fall break later this week. We have a few quick announcements going into the week.


First, we are delighted to share that we have a new team member in the Career and Professional Development office. Christiana Johnson joins us as the inaugural Director of Student Engagement and Career Success. She has worked most recently as a managing attorney at Legal Aid. Before that, she clerked for the Honorable Thomas Waterman at the Iowa Supreme Court. In her new role, she will counsel students and alumni, assist with the development of career related programs and resources, and lead our office’s public service programs and employer outreach. Second, registration opens today for Career Night for 2Ls and 3Ls. Most of you have already registered, but if you have not yet done so, we strongly encourage you to CLICK HERE<https://cuweb.wufoo.com/forms/pt4ln5619b4pmp/> and sign up before we reach capacity. Once at capacity, we will maintain a waiting list.


Finally, we are enjoying meeting with all of you to go over your legal resumes and get to know you a bit. If you haven't already met with a counselor, please make sure you have prepared your legal resume (not the resume you used to get into law school) BEFORE your scheduled meeting to make the most of your time together. The resume overview document with a suggested resume template at the end is attached.
