Every year Campbell competes in the ABA Negotiation Competition in late October or November.
The ABA Law Student Division Negotiation Competition provides a means for law students to practice and improve their negotiating skills. The competition simulates legal negotiations in which law students, acting as lawyers, negotiate a series of legal problems. The simulations consist of a common set of facts known by all participants and confidential information known only to the participants representing a particular side. All of the simulations deal with the same general topic, but the negotiation situation varies with each round and level of the competition.
Campbell will host tryouts for the Negotiation Team on:
Wednesday, Sept. 3, 6 to 8 p.m
Monday, Sept. 8, 6 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 10, 6 to 8 p.m.
If you are interested in joining the team, fill out the attached application and submit it with your resume, class schedule, and selection of two tryout date/time slots.
Send the requested information to Director Shekmer and Coach Evin Grant at evin.grant at gmail.com<mailto:evin.grant at gmail.com>.
The deadline to submit your application is Monday, September 1, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
To prepare for the tryouts, see the attached general facts. You will be given your confidential facts and tryout timeslot, and location on Monday, September 1, 2025, after applications close. Each tryout will last 20-30 minutes. If you were on the team in the past, you will need to reapply and try out again.
Those students that compete on Campbell's team at the ABA Negotiation Competition earn 1 graded credit hour for the Fall semester.
