Happy Monday, all,

Having finished exams last week, law school-related topics may not be at the front of your mind. However, I wanted to share information about a recruiting event taking place this summer – the Southeastern Law School Consortium (SELSC)<https://selscon.org/> (f.k.a. the Southeastern Minority Job Fair).

This pre-select recruiting event will be virtual and take place on July 11 and 12. While student participation is limited to law schools in the Southeast, the employers are nationwide and include a variety of organizations such as top law firms, government, and public interest. (You can get already get an idea of the types of employers from last year's list<https://selscon.org/2023-employers-4>.) The positions available through this event are for Summer 2025 internship/summer associate positions and entry-level post-graduate positions. This year, there are already over 100 virtual recruiting schedules, and employer registration is still ongoing!

I have attached a handout for more details about logistics and timelines. If you are interested, though, you need register HERE<https://cuweb.wufoo.com/forms/w17q4c7k0dwus7a/> <https://cuweb.wufoo.com/forms/w17q4c7k0dwus7a/> before this Friday, May 10th. Registering does not commit you to participating in SELSC, but you cannot participate without registering by this date. Once you register, you will receive access to a unique Symplicity portal and be able to view specific opportunities and attend informational sessions hosted by certain employers ahead of the application period in June.

I would highly encourage you to participate in this program - it is well-established and gives you access to employers across the country who are actively seeking candidates with a broad range of backgrounds and experiences and who are more likely to conduct a holistic (i.e., less grades-focused) review of candidates.

Please reach out with any follow-up questions.
