Good Afternoon Colleagues,

I hope your summers are going great thus far! As many of you may know,
Advocacy is a hallmark of Campbell Law. Here at Campbell, our Advocacy
program is consistently recognized among the nation's top and is the only
North Carolina law school in the US News and World Report in the top 20
consistently! We are able to continue such a successful tradition, because
here at Campbell Law we provide opportunities for individuals to display
their greatness.

As first year law students, your opportunities to participate in Advocacy
programs were few and far in between. However, now that you are second year
students, your time has come! With registration opening up tonight and the
Fall semester not too far away, I am reaching out to inform you of a class
that you will all have the opportunity to take this Fall! The class is *Old
Kivett Appellate Advocacy*. This class is designed to teach young advocates
how to construct and argue an appellate brief. This class will teach you
the fundamentals and the formalities associated with appellate advocacy
while also giving you the opportunity to compete in the Richard A. Lord
Moot Court Competition later this Fall. Students who have participated in
this class, have gone on to accomplish many greats in the field of Advocacy
during their time here at Campbell Law—and now the chance is yours!

Below I have included two current members of the Old Kivett Advocacy
Council. These individuals have both participated in both the class and
competition and have continued to be strong advocates in the Moot Court
arena throughout their second year. We are all available if you have any
questions regarding the class or the competition that follows.

We look forward to working alongside you this upcoming year!

*Miranda Cromley*
*OKAC Vice President*

*Charlie King*
*OKAC Moot Court Chair *

Thank you,

Christian Allred
OKAC President
