[Law24] SUMMER FUNDING! 2022 Campbell Law Public Interest Summer Grants

If you are working for a public interest employer in an unpaid internship (externships are not eligible), then you could qualify for a summer grant. For the purposes of these awards, public interest does NOT refer to judicial clerkships or placements within a state or federal prosecutor’s office.

The purpose of Campbell Law School’s Public Interest Law Summer Grants and A.J. Fletcher Foundation Summer Grant is to assist law students interested in the practice of public interest law by providing financial support to students who secure certain qualifying unpaid summer employment. Funding support of the Public Interest Law Summer Grant Program is provided by two organizations: Campbell Public Interest Law Students Association (CPILSA) and the A.J. Fletcher Foundation. CPILSA is a student organization that enables students to live out a spirit of serve through the practice of law. CPILSA is dedicated to sending lawyer-servants outside the walls of the law school to both enhance the quality of life in the community and to live our Campbell Law School’s mission. The group raises funds year-round to support this grant program. The A.J. Fletcher Foundation has provided a grant to promote the Public Interest Law Grant program by providing summer fellowships to students. The Foundation supports not only the promotion of higher education, but also the care and support to those persons in historically under-supported populations.
