Greetings, Class of 2029,

NOTE:
This Saturday, the Anatomy Peer Learning Partners will be providing Anatomy LAB Drop-In Sessions from 1-3 p.m. this Saturday. This is a GREAT opportunity to practice working through your lab lists and making sure you can identify things and reviewing those more challenging structures with the support of your peers.

In case you missed our session last week, here is a summarized list of some of the tips from MS-2 students specifically for Block 2: (Also, they are a good reminder…that you’re going to make it! Pick one of these to be your reminder for the next week.)

  * “Lower the pressure you are putting on yourself…so I still care but don’t stress about trying to get every detail or an A in everything.”
  * “Make sure you reset and do something fun or relaxing (it seem like you don’t have time for it…but I’d lose my mind if I didn’t…and, you actually become less productive if all you do is feel stressed and overwhelmed and study all the time).”
  * “Find your non-negotiables—and make time for them each week.”
  * “Teach or explain things to your wife/husband, dog, cat, whatever…the wall…it’s faster and clear what you actually don’t know versus what you do know”
  * “Be careful of saying “yes” to everything—lots of things you can do in Block 2—but stick to the things you actually care about and want to do.”
  * “Meal prep during weekends—just makes life easier (& many times healthier choices too)!”
  * “Volunteering in some way with patients really helped me stay grounded—doing something good helped me feel better and remember why I am here.”
  * “Take it day be day, task by task…and when it gets too overwhelming, narrow the focus and just do what you can with that one thing…oh yeah, and repeat”
