[Cusom28] CUSOM Clinical Skills Equipment Information

Good afternoon, CUSOM Class of 2028!

It’s officially JUNE and that means that CUSOM Orientation is next month! 😊

We wanted to update you with some additional information regarding the required Clinical Skills equipment list.

**Please note, if you have any family members/loved ones who want to purchase you a stethoscope (or other clinical equipment) as a gift, please reach out to Dr. Lowe-Clayton (email: lowepayne at campbell.edu<mailto:lowepayne at campbell.edu>) FIRST so she can ensure that the equipment will meet the specifications for use as a CUSOM medical student.

Clinical Skills Equipment

  *   Please see the attached letter from our Course Director of Clinical Education (Dr. Lowe-Clayton) regarding recommended and required Clinical Skills equipment for the 2024-2025 academic year.
  *   ***NONE OF THESE ITEMS NEED TO BE PURCHASED RIGHT NOW (except for a short, white, consultation lab coat, which may be purchased on Amazon).
  *   You will not need any of these items until Block 2 – in October (with the exception of the lab coat). You will need this lab coat for the first week of school.
  *   Our SOMA (Student Osteopathic Medical Association) student President, Riley Shegos, will be reaching out shortly with information on a group discount from Steele’s Medical Supply that SOMA is organizing in August. Once again, you do not need to purchase anything right now, and you will have plenty of time to decide what to order during the month of August.
