Everyone interested in rural healthcare will want to attend a free book talk on April 14 with Dr. Lori Langdon, author of Doctors Work in Air Conditioning, An Intimate Look at Southern Culture and the Challenges of Rural Medicine.

Wiggins Memorial Library’s Friends of the Library is excited to welcome Dr. Langdon, CUSOM Clinical Chair of Pediatrics and Assistant Professor. With her trademark humor and enthusiasm, she will share from this recently published autobiography, which covers topics such as Southern farm life, education, religion, and rural medicine. Raised in Coats, NC, Dr. Langdon has served as a local pediatrician for nearly 30 years.

The event – free and open to all -- will take place on Monday, April 14 at 3:30 pm in the Student Union Theater. Ice cream treats and a book signing will follow the talk.

I hope you can join us! Details and registration link can be found here: campbell.libcal.com/calendar/events/Langdon<https://campbell.libcal.com/calendar/events/Langdon>. RSVPs are requested by Wednesday.
