Hi Class of 2027!

Thank you so much for participating in the Autonomic Case Studies session today!! You all were awesome and demonstrated a great foundational knowledge of the ANS as well as the ability to apply that knowledge to a variety of clinical, pharmacological and physiological scenarios! That will definitely serve you well on boards and rotations! I hope it helped to further your understanding and confidence in applying the material.

I sent Med Ed an updated version of the PPT with some of the additional slides from today's presentation and that should be posted to Blackboard soon. In terms of exam questions, Dr. Eldeeb, Dr. Alekseev, and I will each provide questions based on the points we emphasized in the two case studies.

Since the PowerPoint slides provided for the case studies focused primarily on the details of the case without additional content, I put together the attached review document highlighting the important clinical concepts we covered today.

While this document doesn’t have hyperlinked objectives (sorry!), I have highlighted and red/bolded the specific information you need to know for the content I covered. Any of the text that is not highlighted/bolded is simply to help further explain the clinical and basic science concepts we discussed today and will hopefully serve as a helpful reference! In case it's helpful, I also put together a table summarizing some of the very basic aspects of other drugs Dr. Eldeeb discussed (although I certainly won't test you on any of those!).

Thanks again for your participation today – I had a lot of fun!

Good luck next week and have a wonderful and safe break!
