Happy Monday all! We have had a last-minute opening in our Concord Summer program (partnership with Cabarrus Family Medicine). Rather than let the spot go unfilled, I thought I would reach out to you all in the event you know of a student who would like to participate!



Program Dates: July 15- 26, 2024

The first week will take place with a cohort of other NC medical students at a family medicine residency program. Students will engage in activities such as patient visits, rural health and family medicine discussions, wilderness medicine sessions, hands on skills workshops, visits to a rural hospital, health department, FQHC, or other safety-net clinics, and more. In the 2nd week, students are matched with a practicing family physician to spend a week in the life of a family doctor working in rural or other underserved areas. A stipend is provided.

Program is for students finishing their first year of school (and MS3s from Duke).
