Tax season is here! Did you know the IRS provides free-filing options if you meet certain criteria? If you need to file a 2023 tax return and your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) was $79,000 or less, you could file your federal return for free with the IRS Free File program. You may also be able to file your state return for free as well!

IRS Free File Guided Tax Preparation Options: https://apps.irs.gov/app/freeFile

Please note that this program must be accessed directly via the IRS.gov website. Many “free” tax filing offers that you may come across on company websites may not actually be free depending on your tax filing situation. With the IRS Free File program, all tax filing forms listed here are included: https://www.irs.gov/filing/free-file-most-commonly-filed-federal-forms-are-available . Remember the deadline to file your 2023 tax return is Tuesday April 18, 2024!
