Hi everyone!
I hope this email finds you well. Welcome to Blocks 2 & 6 (and well wishes to our 3rd and 4th years on rotation)! TOMORROW, October 11th, directly after Grand Rounds from 1:30-2:30 PM, we will have an introduction to the Family Medicine Club and some of our Family Medicine Faculty in Room 201 (the same room as Grand Rounds). For our OMS-1s, you are now eligible to attend club events, so we welcome you to come and learn about the specialty and what our club has been up to!
MS-2s that are Marshalls for the White Coat Ceremony, please report to rehearsal practice at Hobson as already scheduled at 1:30pm.
This event is a precursor to our event next Wednesday, October 18th, when we will host Dr. David Park, DO, FAAFP, FACOFP, president of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. It is a great honor to be hosting him, and he will be presenting on Financial Opportunities in Family Medicine. You will not want to miss this. Lunch will be provided, and more details are coming soon.
If you are planning to attend either or both of these events, please head to Engage and RSVP so we can get a head count, especially for Dr. Park's visit. You do not need to be a club member to attend!
