Dear Class of 2027,

Please see the attached documents for detailed information on the election process.  The original email sent out on December 8, 2023, was forwarded by Wendy Bryant to you from Jamison Willis.  The information below is just a small portion of the scheduling details.

The Engage applications will be open throughout the BREAK so that you can work on it at your convenience.


Election schedule overview:



Election Group 1: Positions: SGA-----------------President and Vice-President

                                                 SOMA---------------President and Vice-President

                                                 Class of 2027-------President and Vice-President


Application on Engage due: Monday, January 1st, 2024 at 11:59 PM.

Letter of intent PDF and video submission due: Thursday, January 4th, 2024 at 5:00 pm

Voting by all CUSOM Classes (Class-specific is 2027 only): January 5-7th at 8:00 PM.

Winners Announced: Monday, January 8th mid morning



Election Group 2: Positions: All other SGA and SOMA Positions, and SGA Appointed Board (see Engage Form Election Group 2 for specific positions)

*No Video for SGA or SOMA non-elected positions, only Secretary, Treasurer and SOMA National Liaison.

Application on Engage due: Monday, January 8th at 11:59 PM

Letter of intent PDF and video submission due: Thursday, January 11th at 5:00 PM.

Voting By All CUSOM Classes: January 12-14th at 8:00 PM.

Winners Announced: Monday, January 15th mid morning



Requirements to Run for an Elected Position

       1. Letter of Intent
             a. Letters of Intent are typically at minimum around 1-page double spaced. If you are unfamiliar with what a letter of intent should contain, there are                many resources online. You may send your letters of intent (<500 words in PDF format) anytime before the due date of the position you are running
               for.
             b. Where do you send your letters of intent? All letters of intent for Election Groups 1 and 2 will be emailed directly to
               j_willis0208 at email.campbell.edu.   Letters of Intent for clubs and interest groups during Election Groups 3 and 4 will be submitted through
                 Engage.
      2. Speeches
             a. Speeches will be addressed to the Class of 2027 for Class President/Vice President.
                   b. Speeches for SGA and SOMA will be addressed concurrently, but will be recorded and disseminated to the entire school (all four classes must vote  
                 on these positions since they are national positions). Once your application has been approved you will be notified, and speeches can then be
                             recorded on your own and sent to j_willis0208 at email.campbell.edu. Speeches should be no longer than 5 minutes and should explain why you   
               would be best for the position.


ONLY SGA (All elected positions, not board), SOMA (all elected positions), Class President, and Class Vice President need to record a video. All board members still need to email me their letter of intent. Your name and the position that you are running for should be at the top of your letter. All the above information is in the document entitled “Elected Position Process.”



Election Group 3: Clubs

Application on Engage due for all positions: Monday, January 15th, 2024 at 11:59 PM

Eligible Applicants will be sent to MS2 club leaders: Tuesday, January 16th

Individual club voting will occur: January 16-18th at 8:00 PM

Winners announced: Friday, January 19th mid morning



 Election Group 4: Interest Groups

Application on Engage due for all positions: Monday, January 22nd at 11:59 PM

Application will be sent to group leaders: Tuesday, January 23rd

Individual group voting will occur: January 23rd-January 25th at 8:00PM

Winners Announced: Friday, January 26th
