If you were considering submitting an abstract for the Cape Fear Research Symposium but missed the deadline, please note the deadline has been extended.
Reminder, you need a more senior mentor on the abstract (faculty, attending, resident, clinician, etc. It doesn't have to be a CUSOM mentor, but students can't be independent investigators. For case reports, as a trainee, you only have access to the clinical record under the supervision of other clinicians.)
All authors must approve of the abstract before submission.
Please also submit a CUSOM research notification form.

**DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: February 15, 2024**

The VIII Annual Research Symposium will be hosted by the Cape Fear Research Consortium on 2 May 2024 at the Iron Mike Conference Center.

The Cape Fear Research Consortium (CFRC) is a collaboration consisting of the Cape Fear’s regional educational institutions, medical centers, and military organizations. The Consortium’s primary goal is to promote academic, cultural, and economic change to further the overall community growth of the Cape Fear region. We will accomplish this by leveraging the immense combined talent of the region to spur independent and collaborative research. The Annual Symposium showcases scholarly activities from undergraduate/graduate medical students, professional students, residents, faculty, and staff. In addition to providing a forum for research, process improvement (PI), and quality improvement (QI), the Symposium fosters collaborative research that benefits each institution and the community as a whole.

Abstracts are being accepted for three (3) categories: Original Research, Case Reports, and PI/QI Projects.

Abstracts can be submitted using the following link:
