[Cusom26] EXTERNAL EMAIL: ACOI's 2023 Student Poster Contest - DEADLINE APPROACHING!

ACOI has announced the 2023 awards for Research Abstract Posters prepared by students interested in internal medicine and its subspecialties.  The July 31, 2023 deadline is quickly approaching so any students interested in participating will need to submit their applications soon!  Please pass this information on to your students. General information about the contest is below.

Cash awards of $500 will be made for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place original research abstract posters as judged at the 2023 Convention, October 11- 14, 2023 in Tampa, Florida. Registration for the Convention is free for students along with all meal functions provided by ACOI. ACOI offers each COM's internal medicine club up to $1,000 to help defray travel costs for students who attend in person.  Maximum reimbursement per club is $1,000.

Abstract subjects are to be related to internal medicine and its subspecialties. There are no restrictions as to content, and the entry may represent, but is not limited to: original research, a retrospective analysis, a prospective analysis, etc. Relevance or application to osteopathic principles and practice is encouraged.

A second category for competition will include an interesting case(s) analyzed against a review of the literature to support and/or refute the analysis. There will be separate cash awards of $250 for the top three case presentation posters.

We strongly encourage all students interested in internal medicine to enter this contest. In addition to the judging, a first-rate convention is planned.
