Greetings Cohort of 2027,
Hope everyone is having a great day!
I have been actively working on onboarding for DRPT 800 and DPT 802 as both Cohort of 2027 and 2026 will be going out in March this year. I wanted to share a few important reminders and appreciate your help with the following 😊:
Communication with Clinical Sites

  * If you receive any communication from your clinical site, please respond promptly and copy me on all emails to and from the site.
     * This helps me stay informed and prevents duplicate communication between you, the site, and the program.
     * Some sites prefer to work directly with the school for onboarding, while others are comfortable communicating directly with students. Copying me ensures we follow each site’s preference.
Email Acknowledgement

  * Please acknowledge emails from me within 48 hours so I know you have received the information.
     * A simple “received” is perfectly fine.
Onboarding Requirements

  * Please complete all onboarding requirements as soon as possible and no later than the due dates outlined in my emails.
     * Even if a site indicates onboarding can be completed two weeks prior to the rotation, please do not wait until then. Issues can arise, and early completion allows time to resolve any problems.
     * The more time between submitting onboarding materials and your start date, the better. Many sites have multi-step processes that require review and clearance.
Email Monitoring

  * Please remember to check your email periodically, even while you are on clinical experience or on break.
Timing Differences

  * Onboarding timelines vary by site, so please do not be alarmed if you have not yet heard from your site or from me yet.
Immunizations

  * Please do not update or renew any immunizations that are set to expire within the next couple of months.
     * New dates and deadlines will be provided by the clinical education team this fall for immunizations, background checks, criminal background checks, TB, flu, etc., and these will need to be completed to ensure coverage within one year of going out for DPT 802/804.
If you have questions about your site, CI information, onboarding requirements, or CPI (after this is covered in Dr. Bixby’s class), please reach out to me. If you notice your site is listed incorrectly in Exxat, let me know so I can update it.
I am always available by email or cell, so please feel free to reach out anytime if you need assistance. Thank you all for your cooperation…..I truly appreciate it and am here to support you throughout the process! 😊
