Hello all,

Happy New Year! As we begin 2026, I am excited to share this month’s DEI
infographic: *“New Year’s Resolutions for Inclusive Practice.”*

This infographic is intended to encourage reflection and intentional
goal-setting as we continue to grow as students, educators, and future
healthcare providers. It highlights practical ways to integrate diversity,
equity, and inclusion into our daily roles through:

   -

*Clinical Practice* (e.g., patient-preferred language, culturally
responsive care, and use of teach-back)
   -

*Education & Self-Growth* (ongoing learning and reflection on implicit
   bias)
   -

   *Advocacy & Community Engagement*
   -

*Self-Reflection* as a tool for professional growth

DEI is not an “extra” component of our profession, it is directly tied to
patient trust, therapeutic alliance, health outcomes, and professional
competence. Our hope is that this infographic serves as a simple,
meaningful reminder of how small, intentional actions can make a lasting
impact.

All references used are hyperlinked within the infographic for those
interested in learning more.

Thank you for taking a moment to engage with this resource and for your
continued commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive DPT
community. Let’s grow together this year.

Best,
Sema
